Abstract

The essay presents the efforts and achievements of the Szent István University Kosáry Domokos Library and Archive (in Hungarian abbreviated as SZIE KDKL) in recent years for establishing institutional knowledge allocation, from both own sources and grant funds. The resulting library developments have not only added to the choice of modern library services but constitute part of an evolving network structure. KDKL is the node of special libraries at the University Library network. It wishes to serve as the centre of a complex professional community which is geographically dispersed and deals with an extremely wide range of disciplines. All development resources are used in line with these intentions, ensuring that all faculties, educational centres and disciplines enjoy the benefits of relevant accomplishments. The successful implementation of plans is followed by immediately sharing results in order to provide equal services independent of locality and resources.
