The 42nd Annual Conference of Aslib
Abstract
The programme of the 42nd Annual Aslib Conference again aroused wide interest by placing the main problems of the progress of information work in the limelight. The 19 papers read at the Conference were given in five sessions, as follows:
I. Progress in education and training; II. Progress in reprography; III. Progress in documentation; IV. Progress in international co-operation; V. Progress in mechanization - practical aspects and perspectives.
The 330 participants of the Conference, in their lively discussions following the presented papers, proved very versed in assessing the possibilities of progress in their profession, and conscious of the problems to be faced today. The pleasant environment along with the good organization of the meeting added considerably to increase the very promising exchange of experiences among information scientists on an international level.
