The second section concerned itself with the trends in the Scandinavian countries where, as a result of ten years' work on legal unification, a common patent bill was introduced on January 1, 1968. Out of the papers read in this section, Professor B. Godenhielm's (Finland) lecture has mat special response.
The integration of patent law in African countries was dealt with is the third section. In 1962 twelve African countries had passed a bill on the establishment of a common patent authority and have put a common patent law into operation.
The fourth section examined the integration trends law in the countries of the Common Market.
Finally, non-governmental projects of unification of patent law have been discussed, such as the project prepared by a committee of specialists at the University of Milan and introduced to the Seminar by Professor M. Rotondi (Italy).
