Abstract

Ever since 1963, the OMKDK has been a regular participant of each Budapest International Fair (BNV). Paper describes the activity carried out by the Institute's stand.
In 1963, the OMKDK shared a single pavilion with the information services of the major Ministries at the Fair and performed, upon the request of professional visitors, special bibliographic research activity. The bibliographies were sent by mail to the user's address. In course of thies activity 6000 problems of about 3000 visitors from the science, industry and agriculture have been so answered.
In 1964, the OMKDK already had an independent pavilion. Its exhibition dealt mainly with the construction of the Elizabeth Bridge (Budapest) under progress that time.
In 1965, the Institute organized an international periodical exhibition where over 800 foreign engineering journals, year-books and other periodicals have been exhibited. During the afternoon hours, lectures were organised for socialist crew foremen and outstanding skilled labour - in co-operation with the Production Department of the National Trade Union Council - on the up-to-date problems and recent trends of selected special fields as reflected by the Hungarian special literature. The 16 lectures have been supplemented with reference bibliographies.
As for 1966, the OMKDK intends to represent the scope of automation at the Budapest International Fair.
