Investigating the requirements for information through special literature in an office for planning. Some questions on methodology

Abstract

A short description is given of research on the requirements for special literature conducted in an office for planning. A methodological summary and the principal data of the obtained results are published. The investigations were carried out by the questionnaire method; the number of questionnaires subjected to processing was 472. There were 185 engineers and 186 technicians among the persons supplying data in the course of the investigation The data were processed by the marginal punched card method. The average time expended on the entire investigation was 7.1 hours weekly.
