The technical-scientific informatory and propaganda activity of the Union of Associations for Technical and Natural Sciences

Abstract

Within the framework of the Union of Associations for Technical and Natural Sciences there are 25 scientific associations agglomerated. These scientific associations organize lectures, symposia, conferences, congresses, debates, professional demonstrations, exhibitions, technical picture performances, professional post-graduate courses, and professional consultation services covering the most important industrial, agricultural, and natural-scientific fields. The central committees supporting the presideney of the Union deal with problems affecting the majority of the associations, and with questions beyond the specific professional sphere of interest of the existing associations mentioned. The associations amalgamated into the Union edit a total of 45 professional papers published altogether in about 1 million copies annually. The "Home of Engineering" i. e. the Budapest Centre of the Union represents one of the most significant establishments for technical-scientific information and propaganda purposes.
