Organization of technical information and propaganda in the field of metallurgy and machine industry
Abstract
According to the decision taken in October 1960, at the Ministry of Metallurgy and Machine Industry a program was to be elaborated with the aim of establishing the rules and organization of technical information and propaganda service. This program was elaborated by the Technical Information Bureau of the said Ministry, in collaboration with the Institute of Mechanical Engineering.
In May 1961 the Minister, having adopted the report prepared gave instructions for the organization of the information and propaganda service.
In compliance with sucb instructions a decree has been dram up and will be shortly promulgated. It will appoint the central organs and, at the same time, lay down the structure and tasks of the institutes. Simultaneously with the decree, the Technical Information Bureau has prepared the guiding principles along which the above information organs are to put into shape their statutes and working regulations.
For the time being setting up of information offices will start in 21 larger undertakings and 14 centres of branches of industry. The methodological control of the organization of offices will be managed by the Technical Information Bureau.
The offices so organized will coordinate the services of special libraries, documentation, information, as well as of oral and visual propaganda in an uniform system - a rather efficient contribution towards the completion of the task of technical development.
