Integrated library system-based information services in a corporate knowledge management system I.

Abstract

The role of company libraries has radically changed over the last 10-15 years. Following the relatívely static role of collecting and archiving the Professional literature required by their authorities, they had to adopt a flexible, creative, dynamic role in information provision in order to give their company a competitive edge on the markét. This case study presents with which methods, tools and shifts in approaches an „Infoteka" based on previ-ous corporate special libraries was successfully integrated ínto the knowledge management system of a large Hungárián corporation.
