This paper explores the responses of five major circus arts institutions to the unexpected pandemic situation, i.e. their services not requiring face-to-face presence and providing digital solutions. (It is an unplanned continuation of the publication "Content provision models for circus arts centres" in TMT, issue 3, 2020.) The research focuses on the circus institutions' social media activities (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube), and provides comparative statistics on posts, reactions, comments and shares. The study deals with the system of online activities promoting circus arts, educational programmes, trainings, events and the specificities of interactions with the public in the current unconventional context. By analysing the pressure for digital development in the field of circus arts because of COVID-19 at an international spectrum, the paper aims to stimulate innovation in other cultural and educational fields, the introduction of pilot projects and the development of the National Circus Arts Centre.
