Rethinking librarian roles (in the light of trends in bibliographic census)

Abstract

In this paper, I attempt to rethink some of the roles of libraries and librarians, based on the modern directions of bibliographic enumeration, partly building on the basic idea of an earlier article I published almost ten years ago. This paper was published in English and Slovak, and the optimised data flow envisaged in it was not a distant vision of the future, but a partial, operational and efficient curricular state of affairs for stakeholders in the library value chain.
