The Electronic Library of Jász-Nagykun-Szolnok county, Hungary

Abstract

Based on international and national examples, the Hungárián county electronic library was launched in 1998. Its goal is to make accessible on the Internet address of www vfmk.hu/vfek/index htm the county's fine and special literature. Electronic documents can be retrieved by full text or by their bibliographic data. The service is intended primarily for those who were raised in Jász-Nagykun-Szolnok county and live elsewhere. or for those interested in local scientists. writers etc. It is bound to the county library according to both technology and contents. The problems brought about by növel tasks due to technological development are alsó discussed.
