In the beginning of the nineties the information company running NAL went through an economic crisis causing NAL to become independent both legally and economically. In 1994 it was restructured and renamed to National Agricultural Library and Documentation Centre. During the turn of the century it started information services on the European Unton. In this period the ALEPH integrated library services has been introduced, and the library building has been restored and extended.
