On the scientific degrees of librarians in Hungary

Abstract

A long fight has been going on for years in Hungary on the scientific degrees in library and information sciences. The authors has been in the limelight of this debate. He looks back at the efforts producing success in a very difficult way, and discussed the next challenge as a consequence of decentralization of the scientific qualification system.
