Hungarian company directory and infonnation databases

Abstract

As an updating of an earlíer article (appeared in vol. 44. No. 3,1997, pp. 91-101 in this joumal), the authors survey important company information and directory databases and services in Hungary, presenting their main features. The databases are described in three categories, according to their contents and objectives: directories for contacting companies; company catalogues supplying marketing data; databases compiling official corporate filing data. The main characteristics of the databases presented are number of companies, display formats, update frequency, criteria for inclusion in the database, data contents and price.
