Enforcement of copyright in the practice of library and Information services

Abstract

The objectives of copyright are to stimulate creativity, and to facilitate availabiüty of the authors' works by users. Libraries are often chal-lenged during their operations by the complicated
copyright problems. The author examines from the point of view of the Central Library of the Budapest Technical University the copyright issues to be solved during operations of lending, copying, scanning, digítalízation, using full-text databases and others.
