Recent issues on copyright law regulations in Europe

Abstract

The author perceives copyright as an obvious fací as well as the fact that there might exist ex-ceptíons. The availability of intellectual properties is an interest of the society that is important equally as the assurance of personal and financial rights of the authors. The existence of the Internet has brought on new challenges requiring proper solutions. The relevant draft Directive of the European Union announced in December 1997 is not satisfactory as far as libraries are concemed.
