The Tin Man walks still. Prospects of the TINLIB library system in Hungary

Abstract

A review is presented of the application history of the integrated library system T Series (formerty TINLIB) in Hungary, and the 300 version of the system is described in detail. It is intended for librarians since the novel functions and recent improvements adapted for present demands are seen with the librarian's eye. In addition, the establishment of the company that produced the program is presented, the Electronic Online System International (EOSi) specialized for information management as well as the charaderistics of the new library system announced last year, the Q Series.
