The information and documentation system of the European Union

Abstract

The author presents the complex information and documentation system of the EU, and gives a map to the reader for better orientation. The operation of the institutions, the activities of the official EU publisher, the available information aids are described. In addition to basic documents and serials, the accessable databases, web-pages and other services are covered, including Europe by Satellite or Team Europe. In order to facilitate access, an accurate list is given of the official EU information and documentation centres in Hungary, containing names, addresses, phone numbers.
