Large publishers have first responded to the proliferation of electronic journals. They make their journals available in electronic form too, in addition to the printed products. Subscription agencies have been keeping pace with the new challenge, and they have been introducing services coping with recent changes. A good example of the signiftcant changes and new demands on the subscriber-user side is the description of status and criteria given by the director of the Carmel Los Alamos National Laboratory Research Library. The new challenges related with usage authorization, printing, contents relations, ínformation linking and "addressing" of Ínformation media should be considered very carefully.
