Abstract

Papers from the publication of the BAHIL (European Association of Health Information and Librarles) Conference, Budapest, Hungary

In North Carolina there are 4 medical university libraries, 8 health care center libraries and about 100 medical libraries in clinics and hospitals. These libraries, excluding those supported by churches, have not been applying any censorship for the internet or for e-mail use, and they refuse any effort in this respect. They regard even as a private malter the display of pornographic material. Those who might be shocked by the action of a neighbor computer user, will be led to another computer where this "unchastity" cannot be seen.
