Research information in Europe and Hungarian participation in the DERPI project

Abstract

The information available on ongoing research projects is inadequate throughout Europe. In this respect, even the most developed European countries (France, Germany, the Netherlands, and the UK), have achieved only partial results. An attempt at solving this problem is now being made within the frame of European Communities, i.e. the European Union. For this purpose, a common information format, CERIF, has been adopted, and a special project, ESTO, has been established. Central and Eastern European countries have alsó been involved in these efforts, through the DERPI project. Hungary is also participating in this project.
