Ten years after - ten years on

Abstract

The activities and services of the periodicals subschption agency Swets and Zeitlinger are overviewed. The company's philosophy is based on the close partnership it maintains between itself and its clients. Traditional services are supported by automated means, and electronic document supply services have begun to appear. The company has further been strengthened by the take over of Faxon's European agencies, while it also intends to establish and maintain strategic relations with related areas of the publishing industry. For some years Swets has been building strong contacts with Hungarian libraries: the first contact was made in 1986 and, after the political changes, several more Hungarian libraries joined the company's list of clients.
