Abstract

The WWW is a globaily networked multimedia information system that can be accessed from any personal computer via the internet. The WWW can be used to explore an enormous' variety of information available on the internet on any number of subjects pervading every aspect of life at different sites all over the world. This completety novel technology has gained extraordinary popularity due to its unique features such as multimedia capabilities, interactivity and integrated characteristics. The author also comments on its growing use in Hungary.
