Library management training at the Roland Eötvös University, Department of Library Science, Budapest, Hungary

Abstract

The curricula of the university courses Management of Information Institutions and Project Management are discussed. These courses were started in order to comply with current and future professional and social trends and expectations that require advanced training in this direction. The description of future prospects of the training, based on the PEST analysis, is followed by the presentation of the training subjects, and of the strategic decision the training should be able to prepare for. In this respect, priorities of serfeducation, training and distance learning are discussed.
