Computer applications in the National and University Library of Ljubljana

Today the computer-controlled shared cataloguing system installed in Yugoslavia in 1988 incorporates 38 member libraries. Computerization practices in the Ljubljana National and University Library include the active participation in this library network, automation of the circulation, the Slovenica central computer catalogue card service and the database of Slovenic journal articles between 1914 and 1946 that have been converted by optical scanning into machine-readable form. Under development presently is the soflware module for computerized library acquisition.
