One aim of this application lor a grant was to provide recent computer and telecommunication equipment for the higher education of librarians and information professionals in Hungary. The grant allocated for this project, 110,000 DM in the first year, was used to purchase hardware and software. In 1992, with the approval of the TEMPUS centre, the development will be continued. The final goal set by the project is the availability of recent information systems and equipment for university and library school students, for their preparation in modern information technology.
