Internet and libraries

Abstract

Following and introductory presentation of internet, an overview is given on the potential applications of this global network by libraries and information services. The author's conclusion is that, sooner or later, all information institutions will establish links to internet. However, due to the rather long training period necessary tor full internet utilization, it is suggested that connection should be made long betore it gets unavoidable.
