Library database services through telephone network. A new initiative of the Hungarian Parliamantary Library

Abstract

The Parliamentary Library of Hungary has made its existing information services and databases available via the switched telephone network as well as through the national X.25 packet switched network for users throughout the country. The communication passage Co/Session support the connection of the Library's LAN and remote users. This solution can also be adopted by libraries and information centres providing services for external users.
