Abstract

The rapid growth of document delivery systems is motivated by, in addition to other factors, the economic pressure, i. e., the increasing journal prices. The development trends of libraries point toward the ever growing service of delivering copies of documents not available at the particular library, and this service should be as fast a possible, as an extension of document delivery from the library's own collection of documents. Two new services of Faxon Research Services support this trend of libraries: one, the Faxon Finder, a table of contents database of more than 11,000 journals, and two, the Faxon Xpress, the document delivery service itself.
