A delayed remark on T. Futala's paper: The journal Scientific and Technical Information (TMT) in the INSPEC database

Abstract

Inspired by an earlier paper from Tibor Futala, the present author examined the coverage of the articles appearing in TMT in the INSPEC database, l.e., in the abstracting journal Computer and Control Abstracts. It was found that average abstracting of TMT papers by INSPEC is 67 percent. However, if the papers falling in the core subject scope of the INSPEC are regarded, the proportion of abstracting is as high as 96 percent, l.e., almost complete coverage is found.
