Online information services in an university library

Abstract

The central Library of the Budapest University of Economics has been providing online services from international databases since 1985 for users in the university. Mainly the databases of the Dialog host have been searched. Based on the internal documentation of the Library, the organization of local information intermediary services and figures of online usage between November 1985 and July 1990 are presented, including the evaluation of user feedback.
