Information and library needs of new enterprises. Experiences of the Miskolc University Library, Hungary

Abstract

The flourishing of the new industrial structure in Hungary is expected from the growth of the number of small and medium enterprises. Their representatives have started to present their needs to special libraries that were used to satisfy information needs of large companies in the past. Examples of the experiences by the Miskolc University Library are used to characterize the information needs of small and medium enterprises on one hand, and the changed library functions associated with these requirements on the other.
