Multilateral and bilateral relations of the Patent Information Center

Abstract

Hungary is one of the 123 members of the World Intellectual Property Organizalion. WIPO is a "Specialized Agency" of the United Nations system of organizations. It is responsible for promoting creative intellectual activity and for facilitaling the development of its member countries. The Patent Information Center of Hungary participates in the work of the WIPO Permanent Committee tor Industrial Property Information. The main activities of the PCIPI are: harmonization, collection, analysis, storage, international exchange and dissemination of patent information. The bilateral agreements of the office with 14 countries ensure the direct exchange of working methods and documents.
