Patent literature and documentation serving the technical development

Abstract

The basic collection of the Patent Library of the National Office of Inventions, Hungary, consists ol patent gazettes oblained from 24 countries and 2 international organizations, and of approx. 17 million patent documents. The services based on these publicly available collections use advanced methods, in addition to conventional document retrieval systems, like the INPADOC patent bibliographic collection on microfiche or the microcomputer database of the Hungarian patents. The Special Library on Industrial Property a branch of the Patent Library, has a significant collection of books and periodicals, with catalogues and bibliographies to assist in their utilization.
