Computer networks in Holland

Abstract

Networking in Holland has been under progress within the framework of integrated cataloguing project Pica which will be an essential component if interlibrary cooperation and shared usage of sources. The further development of the results achieved so far - shared catalogue system, automatic central cataloguing and interlibrary loaning system - and their extension to Europe have been delayed by the standardization difficulties of OSI protocols.
