The Hungarian journal Scientific and Technlcal Information (TMT) and the Czechoslovak ian abstracting and indexing journal, the Index

Abstract

The Index is the printed abstract journal of the Czechoslovakian information institute for science, technology and economics, Ústredí Vedeckych, Technickych a Ekonomickych Informaci (ÚVTEI), in information science and technology published 6 times a year. An index issue had been published of the items that have appeared between 1986 and 1988. From this index issue it could be established that about two-third of the main papers published in TMT had been abstracted by the Index. This fact be regarded as a significant effort to promote information science papers for a Slavic country that were published in the very isolated Hungarian language.
