A systems science approach to technological level evaluation of products

Abstract

In order to qualify industrial products in respect to tne technological level of a given time period, concepts like "technological level" and "up-to-datedness" should be clarified. Categories helping the sorting of the interpretational set of products, e.g. "product group", "product type", "kind of product" should be defined. If these latter can be characterized by the sum of measurable and quantiflable properlies, then the producis can be compared according to the objective tasks, and the designation of the development trends of the product will be made possible by revealing the main directions of development. The methods of the multi-variate statistical analysis show the application and evaluation possibility in these types of logic and computation theory.
