-Abstract
The optimum choice between several alternatives regarding products, objects, actions, for the optimum satisfaction of one's objectives can be analyzed by the advanced group methodology, especially if the alternatives are qualified by several characteristics. The computer-assisted decision support procedure of the experts' group emphasizes the preparation, the selection and classification of evaluation criteria, and the significance of particular characteristics on the decision. The procedure investigates the consistency, the independency and the extent of deviation from majority opinion of the judgments of individual group members by the application of pair intercomparison. The ranking of alternatives present itself as a basic information for a qualifying decision. The influence of the alteration of selected characleristics can be investigated. The procedure can assist in the solution of objective problems (e.g.,price analysis).
