Experiences of product qualification with the computerized ranking system RANG—64

Abstract

The experiences are presented with the application of the RANG-64 product qualification program in 1986. The experiences on the managability, applicability of the program, and on the preparedness of the experts' groups participating in the project as well as on the further requirements, have proved to be very valuable. It became obvious thai the unified and unambigous preparaiion of experts' groups to this job, and the preliminary clarification of the comparison principles are prerequisites of real results. The product requiring large data sets need also high capacity computers, nevertheless, the reliability of the program has been proven on a 64 Kbyte store Commodore-64 type personal computer.
