On the problems of library management education

Abstract

The most difficult library education field is library management. A model was developed for the contents of training covering social, cultural economical and scientific environment of the library as well as the management of library processes and users' needs. In addition to general library sciences, also management science issues and others should be adopted in training including general systems science, problem solving, educational practice, case studies. Other important disciplines are marketing, statistics, personnel management and finance.
