Recent trends in online user education

Abstract

The proliferation of new and complex techniques in information storage, processing and retrieval has made it necessary to educate people how to use online information services. In this field IATUL has performed a successful work by organizing several conferences and seminars. Various types and methods of education of online information retrieval are known. Computer programs developed for online user education are presented, distinguishing training and instructional packages, communication packages and interface programs. In addition to various education programs, it is essential that users be able to obtain practical training with actual online systems.
