Information — cost and benefit problems at micro level

Abstract

As a consequence of budget restriction of library acquisition, the significance of library cooperation has been growing. Computer processing of library holdings, computerized information retrieval are attractive but expensive projects. The author present a computerized library cooperation scheme where both common and individual benefits are important factors. A mathematical logical approach is proposed for the interpretation of benefit.
