New information centre in Budapest, the Interbright

Abstract

Interbright, with its headquarters in Budapest, Hungary, was established for the collection and evaluation of general knowledge and education related literature and video programs as well as for the dissemination of information on them. Interbright is regarded as a novelty in relation with known information services. The justification of this type of information service and system is analyzed, and the results and development trends are presented This centre has recruited about 200 foreign publishers so far, and it prepares for an international book and video exhibition to be organized in October 1989.
