National and international relations of AGROINFORM

Abstract

The only professional information institute of the food growing and production industry in Hungary is AGROINFORM, hosting also the National Agricultural Library "Károlyi Mihály" as the centre of the special library network. Due to the growing social and economic role of information also as a commodity, and to the transformation also as a commodity, and to the transformation of users' needs, AGROINFORM has been undergoing significant changes: it develops and improves both the contents and lorms of its services. It opens up the way for new complex information services by applying all elements and tools of advanced information technologies and methods. It introduces the most effective form of information services, the intermediary services related to specific economic and commercial activities. The level and value of its information services has been improved also by utilizing results and experiences gained at study tours abroads.
