Borrow a librarian! An innovative service and its future perspectives in the Klebelsberg Library

Abstract

The Klebelsberg Library, Szeged provides a creative and innovative personalized service that seeks to meet the expectations of the present era and generation, and to promote the access to information. The service entitled „Borrow a librarian!” uses a kind of blended learning form realized in the library’s microenvironment. There is the librarian who provides the methods for literature research with practical advice in a traditional environment, and the student who gets acquainted with the possibilities and the proper usage of the library’s specific databases, e-books and e-resources. In addition, the library’s webpage is also presented to students, that collects tools for disseminating information on special disciplines, was developed by the library staff and serves as a technical background.
