Information preparedness for technology transfer

Abstract

Technology transfer has an outstanding role in both the dynamical expansion of export and diminishing the technological gaps. The transfer has, however, features which should be taken into consideration during its information preparation. First of all, the major factors influencing technology transfer should be identified requiring the extension of traditional areas of information activities. The preparation should be planned and organised as a continuous process. The results of this process depend also on the information sources which are utilised for the thorough preparedness. The practical accomplishment of these tasks are illustrated by iwo Hungarian examples identifying the main factors contributing to technology transfer and determining process steps and source types. The experiences obtained from these examples can used also for establishing information theory consequences.
