Application potential of MICRO-ISIS in special libraries in Hungary

Abstract

The use of professional microcomputers for library automation means a new way for the computerization of libraries with holdings between 15 000 and 30 00 items. For stich purposes, professional software tools are required to satisfy the special needs of library systems. A program system developed by UNESCO for library use, the MICRO-ISIS and its possibilities for application in Hungary are presented.
