An information and bibliographical prototype program system for Commodore-64 type microcomputers

TUDOR is a software product for processing, storing and retrieving bibliographic information. Its functions are: (1) information retrieval; (2) output can be not only hits but also complete bibliographic files or segments of them in the from of catalogues, bibliograpnies, lists or cards, etc. whose layout and arrangement fulfil users' actual requirements; (3) selective dissemination of information (users' fields of interest can be stored and new items of information can be selected accordingly); production of acquistions lists (selection can be based upon date of input as well); (4) users can set up different suitable databases for library, museum, archival, etc. purposes without any knowledge of computers, relying on meuns and selecting options in plain Hungarian language, TUDOR programs are written in BASIC, the system is capable of storing information about 400-900 documents and 100-200 user queries.
