A microcomputer-based literature catalogue and retrieval system in the Research and Development Institute for Hydrocarbon Industry, Hungary

Abstract

A program system development for a M08X type microcomputer is presented which is used for the cataloguing and retrieval of journal articles stored at the Department of Catalytic Processes of the Institute. The programs called HOZZÁÍR and KERES are used to enter and retrieve, resp., papers on the chemistry of catalysis available at the Department. Searching can be performed in the data field of the English titles of the documents and in the field of Hungarian keywords used for indexing the documents, by using Boolean operators. The small database and the operation of the system is described, and examples of document input and retrieval are given.
