The international referral system of the United Nations Environment Programme, the INFOTERRA

Abstract

The Information system of the UNEP, the United Nations Environment Programme, INFOTERRA is an international referral system with member agencies, organizations and individuals who are prepaied for environmental information transfer on their respective fields of interest. The system possesses presently about 10 000 sources. The coordination is performed by the national centres of Member Countries. In Hungary, it is the duty of the National Authority for Environment Protection and Nature Conservation.
